CONSTITUTIONAL CHANGES I’D LIKE TO SEE

First off, let me say that any time anyone proposes any amendment to the Constitution of the

United States you should be immediately wary. Most often these folks are seeking to strengthen the power of government and increase the infringement either on your personal rights or on your wallet. Therefore, as a general rule, rather than increasing the power of government, any amendment to the constitution should further restrict the power of government. This restriction of the power of government was clearly the intent of the Founding Fathers in crafting this brilliant (but very slightly flawed) document and should be the usual litmus test for any proposed or actual amendments.

Having said that, I do, indeed, have the audacity to suggest some improvements to the constitution – ones that I believe pass this litmus test. While I am not so bold as to think that I alone have the insight and wisdom to improve such a powerful document, I humbly submit several such suggestions here. I am certain there are other similar points of improvement that could be considered, but these are the several that jump immediately to my attention.
