Liberty Dollar
What? An alternative to the Federal Reserve note and the U.S. Government’s paper money?!?
This is an interesting concept, and may just work when (not if, but when) the US Dollar finally hyper-inflates and begins its descent into historical obscurity. (This may still be a long way off, and I think gold and silver will probably be sold with everything else in the upcoming deflationary fire sale, but it never hurts to understand and support a concept like this.)
Ron Paul for President
OK, OK. So he’s running as a Republican. BUT, he is, by far, the most libertarian Republican out there today. Never hesitate to vote for someone who holds absolute free-market convictions, even if they look like a long shot to win. (Voting is not a horse race, where you try to pick the winner. You vote for the person you think most qualified for the job, and, in this case, most in alignment with the philosophies of our Founding Fathers.)
“Third” political parties.
As long as the entrenched democrats and republicans keep getting re-elected, they will continue to spend your money like drunken sailors. I’m partial to the Libertarian Party myself, but don’t be afraid to vote for just about any third party. The “lesser of two evils” method of voting just isn’t getting the job done, and is, frankly, getting downright dangerous.

National debt clock.
This is frightening. While you were sleeping, the federal government went into hock for another $68 million each hour.

Free-market organizations and magazines.
There aren’t many around, but these are two of the best and most readable.
Liberty http://www.libertyunbound.com
Reason http://reason.com/
This is the 300 pound gorilla of the free-market movement. You can get much of their content for free, and even more for a modest donation. Outstanding work!
Cato Institute http://www.cato.org/
This is a much more modest organization than the Cato Institute, but is probably more accessible for most people. They also have the World’s Smallest Political Quiz, which everyone should take!
Advocates for Self-Government http://www.theadvocates.org/
Elliott Wave International.
Absolutely the world’s finest investment market advice. Fairly technical, and not for the squeamish.
Strategic Forecasting, Inc.
Put down your newspaper and turn off your TV. If you really want to know what’s going on in the world, check this out. If you’re a more casual follower of foreign affairs, you can get what you need to know via their free email updates and reports. I doubt if you can get better information anywhere, unless you’re with the CIA.

Now that you’re totally depressed, how about a laugh? Here are some great free-market political cartoons.
